RAM ist in Form von DRAM Chips auf der Karte (16 Reihen DRAM Chips). Standardmaessig erweitert die RamWorks 2000 den Speicher in einem oder mehreren Blocks, abhaengig von der jeweiligen Speicherkonfiguration (siehe unten). Multiple blocks of memory are not desirable because when memory is allocated, it cannot be allocated across block boundaries. Ein Utiliy "MergeMem" liegt der Karte bei, um den gesamten Speicher der Karte als einen Block einzubinden.
