This is a rather unusual RAM expansion in that it also doubles up as a monitor stand! The unit probably connects to the side expansion slot and sits snugly against the rear of the A500/+ with a large surface for standing your monitor on. The unit may also have allowed you to install a hard drive and an extra internal floppy drive.
